Call For Papers 2023

“Love One Another” – Ecumenism, Peace, and Justice

As young researchers in Ecumenical Theology and Mission Studies, we carry a special calling to rise our voices for unity and solidarity in our societies, academia, and faith communities. In the context of our conference, we will discuss how ecumenism and ecumenical formation can contribute to peaceful coexistence, awareness of interdependence, and to increasing justice. We will be guided in this theme by two experts, Dr. Sara Gehlin from University College Stockholm and Rev. Dr. George Tsourous from the University of Kent. We will also have three sessions for short paper presentations for which we warmly encourage you to send your contributions. Besides these, there will be plenty of time for informal discussions and getting to know each other around meals and coffee breaks.

We invite paper proposals concerning this year’s theme, your current research, or a project proposal in the field of ecumenical theology and missiology. Papers should be crafted for a 20 min presentation. Each presentation will be followed by a 10 minutes discussion.

Please send an abstract of 200-300 words at the latest on 15th October 2023 to info.aoef@gmail.com.
