Call For Papers 2026

ONE FAITH, ONE EARTH

United in Christ for the Care of Creation

“The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it.” (Psalm 24:1)

The ecological crisis calls the churches to a shared theological, ethical and public witness. The theme invites reflection on how one faith in Christ strengthens responsibility for one earth, and how creation care can become a space of ecumenical encounter, cooperation and hope.

We welcome abstracts of 200-300 words related to the theme, as well as ongoing research or project proposals in ecumenism, missiology, theology and related fields. Presentations: 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes discussion. Possible topics for exploration include, but are not limited to:

  • Biblical and theological foundations for creation care
  • Creation theology in different Christian traditions
  • Ecumenism, climate justice and public responsibility
  • Worship, prayer and ecological conversion
  • Mission and ecological responsibility
  • Churches and sustainable development

Young researchers, doctoral students, postdoctoral scholars, theologians and practitioners engaged in ecumenical research and church-related work are especially encouraged to submit proposals.

Please send an abstract of 200-300 words at the latest until 15 September 2026 to [email protected].
